Interview - Mr and Mrs Doherty

Well, I sometimes get pain in my hands or back, which the doctor says is from the arthritis and I sometimes get chest pains which worry me a lot. I also seem to get short of breath much quicker these days. And I’ve also been “off my oats” for a short while. I’ve just been finding it difficult to eat as I end up feeling uncomfortable.

Goodness me, a whole host of things. Let’s see, I have the medication for my heart - there are a few different ones for that I think - and I suppose I’m on something for my diabetes too, but I can’t remember what it’s called.

Well, yes. Yes, I think so, but there are just so many, I suppose it’s possible that sometimes I might forget to take some of them, especially in the evenings.

I do have trouble getting the laundry in and out. I just get so breathless with all the lifting and bending over. I can’t really do the ironing anymore either.

No, nothing like that.

Yes, I used to smoke a bit when I was younger. About 10 or 12 cigarettes a day for around 18 years I suppose. But I gave all that away a long time ago.
