Mr Tannerís blood pressure continues to improve and is now down to 130/86. Pain relief by way of an intra-articular injection of local anaesthetic appears to have been helpful in alleviating his right shoulder pain. We will re-assess in 3 months time to review need for an additional injection. His warfarin dose is now stable, and at present we are checking his INR every 2 weeks.
I am confident that Mr Tannerís health has stabilised and he appears to have adopted the advice regarding dietary and lifestyle changes to reduce risk of future stroke.
I am going to speak with his GP to hand over long term control of Mr Tannerís risk factors and to fill her in on the advice we have given Mr Tanner regarding his shoulder.
